Spanish Restaurant Vocabulary
Spanish speaking countries have some of the best cuisines in the world. Enchiladas in Mexico, paella in Spain, asado in Argentina, and even the bizarre llama brain dish in Bolivia. It would be a pity not to try these delicious and unique dishes when you visit one of these countries.

Spanish Restaurant Vocabulary
un restaurante / un restóran – a restaurant
“El restaurante cierra a medianoche.” – “The restaurant closes at midnight.”
la carta / el menú – the menu
¿Puedo ver el menú.” – “May I see the menu?”
un camarero / una camarera – a waiter / a waitress
“El camarero es muy alto.” – “The waiter is very tall.”
la cuenta – the bill
“Hay un error en la cuenta.” – “There is a mistake in the bill.”
un plato vegetariano – a vegetarian dish
“¿Tienen algún plato vegetariano?” – “Do you have any vegetarian dishes?”
vino tinto / vino blanco – red wine / white wine
“Me está cobrando tres copas de vino, y solo tomé dos.” – “You are charging me for three glasses of wine, and I only had two.”
carne – meat
“Pedí mi carne bien cocida y está a punto.” – “I asked for my meat to be well done, but it is rare.”
acompañamiento – side dish
