Comparing with Adjectives

*más + adjective + que
Yo soy más alto que mi hermano. = I am taller than my brother.
Ella es más bonita que Sara. = She is prettier than Sara.

*menos + adjective + que
Yo soy menos alto que mi hermano. = I am shorter than my brother.
Ella es menos bonita que Sara. = She is less pretty than Sara.

*tan + adjective + como
Yo soy tan alto como mi hermano. = I am as tall as my brother.
Ella es tan bonita como Sara. = She is as pretty as Sara.

Comparing with Nouns

*más + noun + que
Yo tengo más dinero que Roberto. = I have more money than Roberto.
Ellos tienen más plumas que Juan. = They have more pens than Juan.

*menos + noun + que
Yo tengo menos dinero que Roberto. = I have less money than Roberto.
Ellos tienen menos plumas que Juan. = They have less pens than Juan.

*tanto/tanta/tantos/tantas + noun + como
Ella tiene tanto dinero como él. = She has as much money as him.

*verb + tanto como

*mejor que = better than
La comida en esta escuela es mejor que la comida en la otra escuela. = The food in this school is better than the food in the other school.

*peor que = worse than
La comida en esta escuela es peor que la comida en la otra escuela. = The food in this school is worse than the food in the other school.

Comparing Age

*mayor que = older than
Yo soy mayor que mi esposa. = I am older than my wife.
Mis hijos son mayores que ella.= My sons are older than her.
